Biograd na Moru, town and a harbour in the northern Dalmatia, placed between Zadar (28 km) and Sibenik (46 km). On a small peninsula and partially on the mainland, with islands of St.Catharina (with the lighthouse) and Planac in front of the city harbour, with bay Bosana on northern side and Soline on the southern with big public sand beach surrounded by pine-wood, Biograd is one of the famous tourist centres of Croatia.

Biograd is the center of Riviera that comprise: St.Petar na Moru, Turanj, St. Filip i Jakov, Pakostane and Drage, settlements on island of Pasman: Tkon, Kraj, Pasman, Barotul, Mrljane, Nevidane, Dobropoljana, Banj i Zdrelac, and the island of Vrgada. Numerous cultural and entertainment programs with sport activities are offered during the summer months, local festivities at open place, on the pool by the Hotel "Ilirija", in the cinema...
In the vicinity of Biograd there is a natural park "Vransko jezero", attraction of it*s kind considering the fact that it is freshwater lake that stretches parallel with the sea, separated from it some 1 - 2 kilometres, and at one place, connected with the sea by a channel. It is rich in freshwater fish.

There are also three national parks: Paklenica, Kornati i Krka nearby, as well as the natural park of "Telascica" on Dugi Otok. It is very well known among the sailors whose destination is Kornati archipelago. Regattas, sailing schools, and many other nautical activities are organized throughout the year.
Marinas of Biograd dispose with approximately 1000 moorings on the sea and 200 on the mainland. It has also one of the biggest and best equipped tennis camps in this part of Adriatic with 14 tennis courts and 6 lawn tennis courts, located in pine-wood near the sea.
