Starigrad - Paklenica

Starigrad would be an ordinary Dalmatian tourist place, but yet it is not, because of the connection to the hinterland and the National park Paklenica, so connected that it is usually called - Starigrad Paklenica. Place has got a good developed infrastructure, few hotels, boarding houses, quality private accommodation, restaurants, shops, sport, fun and entertainment facilities.
Beaches in the surrounding area are usually small pebbled.

After shorter walk from Starigrad you enter into amazing canyon of Velika Paklenica, and the entire Park, offers countless possibilities to those who like trekking, mountain climbing and free climbing, and those, whose ideal destination will be Starigrad, where they can, in the same day practise their hobby and swimming in the sea.
Park appears the visitor, in the first place with it's canyons - Mala i Velika Paklenica - famous cave called Manita pec, and numerous rocks that "rip" the sky, and to those who are "common visitors" will remember those expert climbers making exhibitions and tacts.

Interferences of a mild Mediterranean and mountain climate, makes ideal climate conditions, so that zone is recommended to those with cardiac problems and to those who suffer from respiratory system problems. Starigrad is placed in a very privileged position from where every part of Croatia with natural or historical significance is easy to reach - Plitvice Lakes, Kornati, Krka waterfalls, towns of Zadar, Sibenik...
