Krka Krka Skradin

Krka National park spreads by the stream of the Krka river in the hinterland of Sibenik. The main features of the Park are waterfalls, that end almost directly in the sea.
The main entrance in the Park is in place Skradin, deep indented into the bay of Sibenik, but yet on the sea shore, so that boat excursions from Sibenik come in Skradin and then, by boats of the Park, floating a picturesque canyon of the Krka river, excursionists go to see the waterfalls.

Through the Park there are small foot paths, bridges above the water, crossing numerous small streams, smaller and bigger waterfalls that are made by river alongside the whole lower part of the river, giving unique sights in the atmosphere of the complete harmony with the nature. In the park there are few flour mills, restaurated , where you can see grind of wheat or laundry washing on a way that has been done for may centuries , as well as the guest houses or taverns in authentic old stone houses with the great offer of original Dalmatian ham and "Babic" vine.

Upper part of the Park is reachable by foot, but is recommended to transfer by car. It is not as spectacular as the lower part with the waterfall, but it is interesting, characterized among all with the monastery Visovac on an island in the middle of the Krka river, and is reachable by boat.
National park Krka is inevitable destination, not only for those admirers of the nature, but for all the gusest of the riviera, ideal "mountain respite" in the sequence of days spent on a beach. Swimming is possible in the Park in only one place, under the waterfalls, but exclusively for better swimmers.
