Dugi Otok - Telascica

Dugi Otok Savar Veli Rat

Dugi Otok is the largest island of Zadar archipelago, 45 kilometers long and average 5 kilometers wide. The island is rich in green vegetation, relatively rural area (3000 inhabitans, prije bi rekla 2000 st.), so that in the middle of season can offer peacefull holiday, away from hustle and bustle.
Dugi otok (Long island), is an ideal place for those who admire intacted nature as well as for those who use motorboats or boats; near Dugi otok and it's lonely bays, there are lot's of smaller islands where one can find a nice beach away from everybody, alone. Right next to the southern part of the island, there is a National park "Kornati" with it's great number of islands, islets, reefs and cliffs.

Telascica Veli Rat Sakarun

There is a ferry line from Zadar to Brbinj 3 - 4 times a day, that connects Dugi otok with the mainland. Road from one part of the island to another is of very good quality, so for those who do not use a boat it is not hard to reach every part of the island. Beaches are rocky in general, cemented near inhabited places, while on the northern part of the island, thay are sand: Sakarun, Mežanj and pebbled by the lighthouse Veli Rat.

Telascica - natural park on the southern part of the island, characterised by a 8 kilometers deep bay, which in general, with it's 4 islets and a salt lake on a peninsula, represents morfological interesting complex that one can find rarely. Part of the Park facing the open sea, is rather interesting with it's hundreds meter high cliffs, vertically above the sea. Natural park "Telascica" is reachable by car, and by foot. It is 4 kilometers far away from Sali.
